In neutral, clutch out, transmission warm, you will likely experience some level of chatter (noise) from the transmission. One more thing to mention about using any one piece FW (with an "unsprung" clutch) instead of a dual mass FW is the transmission chatter. I chose not to upgrade to a DSSR or a fancy short shift kit, but I did replace all the linkage bushings (I did buy a $ 40 short shift adaptor from eBay). I had bad luck with a non-OEM input shaft seal and STRONGLY recommend springing for the ~$25 OE seal. Replacing them with the trans on the ground is surely the way to go, and if the input shaft seal ends up leaking, you will be dropping the trans again. There are 3 Trans seals: input shaft, output, and gear selector. Clutch hose, a new rubber hose is fine or you could go with a SS line like I just did. FWIW, I used (gasp.) stainless steel hardware from the local hardware store to replace all my hardware. If you do have to cut any of the studs, I recommend simply drilling them out and replacing them with nuts and bolts. Exhaust hardware ( you will likely end up cutting some of it off if you are lucky, you will not have to cut any of the exhaust manifold studs. I see a lot of guys saying the 240 mm setup is too small but I don't really have plans to upgrade the power if the M60 but at the same time I dknt really want to replace the clutch again anytime soon.
